Overview

Wæm Jĭa Ìsrǐ was founded durring the late 18th century in early spring of the year 1699, by Alyar Èbrepî. The establishment of Wæm Jĭa Ìsrǐ was plagued by a lack of willing colonists. After attempts to pay people to resettle failed Alyar Èbrepî struck deals with nearby nations and communities to establish Wæm Jĭa Ìsrǐ as a prison colony.

Wæm Jĭa Ìsrǐ was built using the conventions of Constructi durring the late 18th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Wæm Jĭa Ìsrǐ is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature timber framed wooden shiethed or brick construction, which gives form to a very formalized, rational, expence effishent arcatectural style based on strictly symmetrical designs which universaly feature pitched roofs, shutters, and the occasional column or pilaster for a decorative touch.

Wæm Jĭa Ìsrǐ is buildings have been located at convienant points along the lake Wæm Jĭa Ìsrǐ was built upon. Navigating the town is therefore a little chalanging as the distance between buildings verris greatly and the spacious packed earth streets flow where they are able to be made rather than folowing the most convienant paths. The town is protected by a well-crafted cobblestone fence tall enough to provide adiquite cover for defenders to fire from, but no more than that. Wæm Jĭa Ìsrǐ's frontieer-style defences are in an unremarkable state. To some, this is the ideal sate for defences to be in. In need of absoutly nothing, and ready to serve the town as needed.

Something in your gut tells you that you may be unwelcome in Wæm Jĭa Ìsrǐ. The town seems like it’s not showing you the side of itself it would show to others. People mostly ignore your questions. Many folks ask you to leave their establishments, even before you’ve walked inside them. You should probably listen to them, as every time you’re asked to leave the person asking you to leave has referenced the town’s patron divine in some way. The little voice in the back of your mind that tells you when you’re in danger feels like it’s just glaring at you and muttering about how stupid you are for even remaining in town.

Cultural Notes

Wæm Jĭa Ìsrǐ's mayor's house was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is best known for its functional shapes, abstract shapes used sparingly for decor, simple color schemes, holistic design, and basic industrial materials. Its simple designs were created to be beautiful, functional, and mass-producible. The style used little to no embellishment or ornamentation, instead drawing attention to the streamlined design, such as flat roofs to create a simple, geometric look. The simplicity masks the style's nearly sinister functionality, as every last feature is designed to guide the people living in the building in how to make the most efficient use of the structure.
